The Moment

There he was ,
standing on a cliff.
He closed his eyes to capture
the beauty of the dusk.
Embracing him from shadows,
came the light of retention.
He felt a presence close to him,
and he took a long breath.
Doused in her thoughts again,
dry as sand,
He lit another cigarette,
just to escape from his ail.
Trying to cast her away,
with the smoke he exhaled,
he curbs another drop,
from his tear less eyes.

I clearly remember his face,
bereaved and bare.
There was nothing in his eyes,
except despair.
He looked around to find,
a peaceful place for his soul.
He walked upto the edge,
resolved to end the tale,
but he knew,
he will ultimately fail.
As she was an angel,
living in heavens,
and he was a devil,
surely belonging to dark hell.

Once again he lost,
Once again he died.
Once again he walked back,
to live the life on the ashes of time.
